On the first day of SHOT Show 2018, Mossberg sent out a press release announcing its new mag-fed 590 pump-action shotgun.

New Mossberg 590 pump-action shotgun with patented 10-round double-stack magazine and full-length bottom rail and side rails.
The new Mossberg 590M Tactical Tri-Rail pump shotgun features rails and a 10-round double-stack magazine.

Initially, two models will be available, both in 12 gauge with 18.5-inch heavy-walled cylinder bore barrels, 2-3/4-inch chamber and a black synthetic stock. They both come with Mossberg’s patented 10-round double-stack magazine—the world’s first shotgun magazine of its kind. 5, 10, 15 and 20-round magazines are available for purchase as an accessory.

The base model features a bead sight and the MSRP is $721. The Tactical Tri-Rail model features a Ghost Ring sight, ACCU-CHOKE choke tube system, heat shield and a full-length bottom rail and dual side rails with an MSRP of $801.

These new models of Mossberg 590 pump-action shotguns have the trusted features of other 590s—non-binding twin action bars, positive steel-to-steel lock-up, anti-jam elevator, dual extractors, drilled and tapped anodized aluminum receiver, and ambidextrous top-mounted safety. The 590 mag-fed has a fully steel, heat-treated mag release that will never get in the way of the action and is located in front of the trigger guard.

The patented double-stack magazine has hardened-steel feed lips, over molded steel shell ramps, anti-cant rounded follower, easy-grip molded outside, proprietary self-lubricating polymer body, heavy-duty ASTM-A-228 music wire mag spring, removable floor plate and durable black oxide finish.

Mossberg is marketing these two brand new models for home security, tactical and competition use.
